Just wanted to share this pic of Peter Hyndman’s GIS “Gruff” going reasonably quickly. We spent a couple of days trying to get some good action shots.
It was a bit tricky because there was only around an 70 metres straight run at the best angle before getting too close to shore or having the breeze blocked by the houses to windward.
It was good fun – the only downside is how hard it is to get photos of a fast boat that actually look fast. In general faster boats don’t make a lot of fuss so they look rather static in most photographs.
