The last day of the 20 boat Oz Goose sailboat build brought out the cameras of the TV News as well as the student’s own view of introducing collegiate sailing into the Philippines for around the price of importing two Laser dinghies.

The Student Video captures the excitement of the Maritime College cadets
This one includes some sailing. The wind was fairly light but you can see that big sail on the Oz Goose keeps the boats moving even with 3 aboard.
After 2 weeks we had 10 completed boats and another 10 boats made into flat packs for quick assembly. And only enough instructors to get 7 boats on the water.

We found a use for the Campus Swimming Pool – video!
It is a big deep swimming pool for lifeboat drills and swimming training – you can see the lifeboat equipment .
It is even elevated making it perfect for sailing among the treetops alongside the road.
All in all a fantastic experience with fantastic people.
